“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to thank with deep gratitude all those who rekindled that flame.” It was this heartfelt gratitude for all the love and sacrifice made by our Rector, Fr. Tomy Joseph and our parents that resulted in the Rector’s & Parents’ Day 2018. The event started off with the lighting of the lamp to invoke God’s blessings. This was followed by Rev. Father Rector’s message highlighting Don Bosco’s Preventive System of Education and to deal with the young ones in such a way that they feel loved. Father also emphasized upon the need to refrain from inflicting any form of physical punishment upon the students. The choir enthralled the audience with their mellifluous songs welcoming one and all. This was followed by a welcome dance. Two of our staff members were felicitated on having completed 25 years of their service. Both Mr. Edward Toppo and Ma’am Rebecca Williams with a silver plaque.

Since joining DBL, he has never been absent even for a single working day. Our Principal Rev. Fr. Sunit Kiro read out the Principal’s report highlighting different aspects of the school’s achievements. Both Fr. Rector and Fr. Principal felicitated the schhol toppers of 2017-2018. The programme was adorned with graceful dances, skits in English, Hindi and Bengali. The audience was truly inspired, amazed and mesmerized to see such talented students. The event ended with the choir singing the Christmas carols. Sir Polachan Manavalan gave the vote of thanks and thanked one and all for putting up such a grand show. We often take for granted the very persons who most deserve our gratitude-that is why we sincerely hope that this event conveyed our heartfelt gratitude to the people who play the most important role in shaping our lives.
