On 11th and 12th October 2018 Don Bosco School, Liluah organised their annual science exhibition which witnessed the participation of eight renowned institutions from Kolkata, Hooghly and Howrah. To encourage the innovative ideas of young and aspiring scientists, the science exhibition provided a perfect platform to the students to prove their mettle.
The schools participated in eight categories namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Computer, Commerce and Economics. The event also witnessed around 350 intra school participants from Don Bosco School, Liluah too. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Subhashis Chatterjee from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, in the august presence of the Rector Rev. Fr. Tomy Joseph and the Principal Rev. Fr. Sunit Kiro, all our teachers and students. On 11th October, the students were addressed by the cyber crime and narcotics department of Kolkata Police where they mainly focussed on the use of social media and its effects on young people. On 12th October, the students were enlightened by Dr. Falguni Dey on the topic “Emerging Environmental Issues and Challenges”. The programme ended with prize distribution ceremony where each category was awarded with trophies and certificates.
