“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature” was rightly said by Gerard D. Nerval. In keeping with this adage, the souls of young Bosconians of Don Bosco School, Liluah, saw the fruition of their labour as the saplings, cherished, watered and nurtured by the boys themselves were displayed in the Flower Show, hosted by Yes Nature Club of Don Bosco School, Liluah on 29th and 30th January, 2015.

Satisfaction was at its zenith as boys, parents, Salesians and staff of the school witnessed the riot of colours in the form of Chrysanthemums, Petunias, Salvia, Pansies, Dianthus, Marigold, Dahlia, Bonsais and of course Roses adorned the fields of the School – products of their own green fingers. Mention must be made of Arkya Sanyal of Class XI C, whose display was myriad, under the banner of “Unity in Diversity”.

Another unique feature of the show this year was a nature photography contest, ‘Nature through my Lens’ titled ‘Melting Pot’, in which the youthful enthusiasts of Don Bosco School, Liluah, captured different moods of nature through their lenses – from a sleeping lion to feline affection, from tsunami destroyed corals to a leaf with a droplet of water. Attractive trophies were given out for both the shows. Kudos to the young souls of D.B.L. for their attempt to campaign for a greener world.
