“The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards” said Anatole France. On this occasion Don Bosco School, Liluah celebrated Teachers’ Day on September 5, 2014.
The day commenced with the holy Eucharistic celebration, presided over by the Rector, Rev. Fr. Biji Thomas and then kissing of Mother Teresa’s relic. In the school assembly, the Principal Br. Jose encouraged the students to make the day joyous and meaningful for their teachers. The class felicitation that followed marked their innate creative talents with much zeal.
The cultural celebration continued in the auditorium. The lighting of the lamp was followed by the Rector’s message and the fiesta including a skit by the Technical Section, dances and beat boxing was performed by the high school students. The school band played with much enthusiasm.
The most remarkable event was the dance performance by the junior school teachers and beautiful solo dance by Ma’am Purnima. On behalf of the teachers, Sir Subrato delivered the vote of thanks.
Later during the day a volley ball match and antakshari were held between the students and teachers. Replete with the celebrations, the teachers feasted on a mouth watering delicious lunch, thus drawing the curtains of a memorable day.
