Children's Day was celebrated at Don Bosco School, Liluah on Sunday, the 17th of November 2013.
To celebrate the event and make it a special day for the children, the school with the help of the students and teachers organized different activities to share the significance of the festivity. A fancy dress competition for the juniors was the highlight of the day.
For many parents it was an important day. They took initiative to celebrate Children's Day by giving gifts, spending the day with them at school and making them feel special. Besides the grand fancy dress competition for the junior section in which 190 boys took part, there were lots of venues for fun and merriment. The boys spent some joyful moments enjoying rides in a toy train, a titanic, a bouncing castle, scaling an artificial hillock and other rides.
The twenty odd stalls put up by the senior section and technical boys provided opportunity to all to try their skills at various chance games and to test how cool or steady their nerves are. The food stalls provided a variety of eatables carefully manned by the boys of classes 9 to 10, satisfying the taste buds of everyone. The DJ belted out music that grooved the children around the deck. The funfilled day ended with a lucky draw in which prizes were given away to the lucky ones.
