The much awaited Annual Sports Meet for the Junior School 2018-19 was held on 15 December 2018 in the lush green premise of Don Bosco School, Liluah.  The good turnout of the parents and other guests along with the pleasant weather were a perfect boost for the students.  Shri. Arnab Roy, IAS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.



The event commenced with the welcoming of the Chief Guest who was escorted to his place by Fr. Tomy Joseph, Rector, Fr. Sunit Kiro, Principal, Fr. V.T. Jose, Primary Incharge and Fr. Antony Vayalil, Bursar, along with the DBL Scouts.  The drum beats then rolled, the band struck up and the command was given for the March Past to begin.  The synchronized swing of the arms and the sound of thudding feet saw one and all appreciating the boys marching to the tune of the Police band.  The march past was indeed a spectacular feat.  After the singing of the National and School Anthem, the Sports Meet was declared open by the Chief Guest.  The Chief Guest was overwhelmed seeing the discipline of the school and he commended the school authorities for it.  He also stressed the importance of games in our day to day life.



Expressing love for God, the junior boys welcomed the guests with a colourful prayer dance followed by drills by the different classes highlighting with the themes Save the Earth and I love Football.  The track and the field events comprised the races, the relays, the tunnel ball, the tug-o-war, passing the ball, inter-house cock fight etc.  Special events were held for the Teachers, Non-teaching staff and the Past pupils. 


Finally, Magone were declared overall winners and Savio the Runners Up.
