Boscotsav’18, with the theme ‘Omnia Paratus’ i.e. ‘Ready for Everything’ was conducted on 20 July 2018.  Known to attract students from the city and its suburbs, this year saw the gathering of 2000 students from 16 schools competing with each other with zeal and enthusiasm.  The 37 events, both for the juniors and seniors organized by the 15 youth groups of the school, offered to the youngsters a platform to gain experience, showcase their skills and last but not the least uncover their personal aptitude.  The fest commenced with the lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of the Almighty.  After Fr. Rector, Rev. Fr. Tomy Joseph’s message, the events began with aplomb and show.  A variety of on-stage and off-stage events were held in different venues.  There was music, dance, debate, quiz, unconventional music, different sporting activities, to name only a few.

All performed to the best of their ability to bring out their talent and ingenuity.  This year also saw the introduction of three new events, namely Bosco Jugalbandi, Fantasy League and Indoor War.  A unique corner this year was the most sought-after “Selfie Corner” where teachers and students could click selfies to enhance their happiness quotient.

The day ended with the vote of thanks by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Sunit Kiro.  This year’s top five schools for the juniors were DBL, DBPC, DBB, ACS Bandel, ACS Dum Dum and SJC and in the senior category, the schools were DBL, DBPC, DBB, ACS Bandel, ACS Barasat and Adamas International.

With the National Anthem sung, the curtains were finally drawn, with the promise that Boscotsav’19 will unveil a grander show next year.
