Don Bosco School, Liluah, went for a school educational trip to Europe this summer vacation from 15.05.2018 to 28.05.2018.   It was an inexplicable experience in places like Paris, Switzerland, Milan, Turin, Pisa, Venice and Rome. We were extremely fortunate to visit Turin, where St. Don Bosco had started his first school and privileged to meet our Rector Major and get his blessings.

The elegance of the Eiffel Tower, the extraordinary Cathedral of Milan and Florence were incredible.  The snow clad mountains with the misty clouds around them in Switzerland were breathtaking.  Mount Titlis left us spell-bound with snowfall and rainbow together.  The beautiful city of Pisa with its 'Leaning Tower’ made us learn how an architectural glitch can result in something so unique.  The old city of Venice enchanted us thoroughly with its 400 bridges, confusing alleys and romantic gondolas. Rome made us speechless with a thrilling experience of visiting the huge and ancient Colosseum.  With its enormous structure and pillars, it stood as if to tell us the stories of the gladiators and much more of the Roman Civilization.  But it was not over.  We were all literally dumbfounded as we reached the ‘Vatican City’.  The works of Michelangelo were there in front of our eyes as if challenging the very core of science and reality.  The ‘Sistine Chapel’ with its graceful incredibility surpassed it all at the end.

It was indeed an enriching experience for all, as we came back on 28.05.2018 with memories of Disney Land, Mona Lisa, Eiffel Tower, Snowfall, Gondolas, Gladiators, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci and above all our own St. Don Bosco and his works.
