DBL had organised an excursion for the senior students in June this month.  The 28 students were accompanied by three teachers and Fr. Eugine Kujur.  The major places of interest visited in the eight-day interesting trip were Amritsar, Dharamsala, Dalhousie and Khajjiar.

The sight of the Golden Temple gloriously reflecting the sun rays was an unforgettable one.  History was recalled with the visit to Jalianwala Bagh and it was a patient but rewarding experience to witness the formal ceremony at the Wagah Border.

Dharamsala proved to be a pleasant tourist spot and the day was spent in a short trek and a visit to the stadium, Namgyal monastery and the Mcleodganj market.

Khajjiar with the picturesque setting at its lake and the small but beautiful town of Dalhousie offered its unique charm and beauty to us, the visitors.

Overall, this trip to the north-western part of India even in the summer heat proved to be a memorable one providing ample opportunities for a fun-filled experience and a great bonding among the students.
