Don Bosco School, Liluah, hailed in the academic year 2017-18 with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. The Rector, Rev. Fr. Biji Thomas, in his message, highlighted the importance of the Family, the strenna of the year.  Readings from the Bible, the Bhagvad Gita and the Quran imaged the elevated place of wisdom and knowledge in human life.  The welcome dance befittingly prayed to the Almighty to make the school his abode, promising to spread his glory and truth.

The Chief Guest for the day, Rev. Sr. Cyril, the ex-principal of Loreto Day School, Sealdah and a social activist of international renown, urged the Bosconians to spare their time and energy for their underprivileged brethren.  Her “Rainbow Children” stood out as shining examples for the boys to follow. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Sunit Kiro, thanked Sr. Cyril and Father Rector for their valuable messages.  The school drew the curtain on the solemn inaugural session with the school anthem, preparing to begin the year with vigour and zest.
