With the motto of encouraging the budding scientists, engineers, economists, technicians, geologists, and mathematicians Don Bosco School, Liluah, hosted Science Exhibition in the school premises on 28 and 29 September 2016.  With a total of nine schools participating, the exhibition was a mega event and a grand success.  The exhibition was rightly named “CAELUM NOVUM” i.e. the next heaven. 



The exhibition was inaugurated on 28 September 2016, by the Chief Guest, Dr. Rajat Subhra Hazra, Assistant Professor in the Statistics and Mathematics Unit at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.  A free health check-up by Narayana Super Speciality Hospital was also organized for the participants, parents and students.



On 29 September 2016, a science magic show was presented by Mr. Tarun Das of the BITM for the participants and the students of classes 6, 7 and 8 which was extremely informative and interesting. The eight schools who participated for the science exhibition were Auxilium Convent School, Dum Dum, Auxilium Convent School, Bandel, Don Bosco School, Park Circus, Don Bosco School, Bandel, St. Joseph's Convent Chandannagar, St. Teresa's Higher Secondary School, St. Agnes' Convent School, Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan and the host school Don Bosco School, Liluah.



The prize distribution ceremony began with all the participants being congratulated and certificates of merit and participation awarded to all by the Principal.  A trophy for the best exhibit for each category was awarded to the eligible schools.  The ceremony ended with the vote of thanks by the Principal, Fr. Sunit Kiro.
